Campsite La Baie des Anges

Since 2019, the bay of La Ciotat has been officially classified as one of the most beautiful bays in the world, joining mythical locations such as Ha Long Bay or that of Mont Saint-Michel. This prestigious label highlights the exceptional natural beauty of the site and its commitment to the environment.

Dive into the Big Blue! On the shores of the Mediterranean, the "French Riviera" draws all its charm from its seaside resorts, its towns of art and history, and its backcountry with surprising vegetation. Bathed in generous sunshine throughout the year, the Côte d’Azur has blue skies, beaches, cicadas, coves and calanques in store for you… You too will quickly fall in love with it!

While the wild cove located at the foot of La Baie des Anges campsite can prove difficult to access with young children, magnificent developed beaches await you just a few minutes away. In La Ciotat, lay your towel on the fine sand of the Grande Plage (between the Henri Langlois esplanade and the Saint-Jean port) or Lumière beach, the latter being ideal for children thanks to its gentle slope and smoke-free zone. Lovers of the seabed will prefer the pebbles and few rocks of Liouquet beach, below the corniche. In Saint-Cyr-sur-Mer, the large Lecques beach unfurls its kilometre and a half of sand for everyone's delight. Finally, your four-legged companions also have the right to a swim thanks to the dedicated spaces at the Capucins dog beach in La Ciotat or the Dog Beach (via the Promenade Paul Ricard, 15 km away) in Bandol.

Our campsite-village is also the perfect starting point to explore the cultural and natural treasures of the region. On the nature side, let yourself be marvelled at by the Mugel park, the Figuerolles calanque, Île Verte, Île du Gaou in Six-Fours or the superb bay of Bandol. Do not miss discovering the must-see Calanques of Cassis and Marseille, to be explored by hiking, kayaking or during a boat trip. On the heritage side, stroll along the Old Port of La Ciotat, visit the Palais Lumière, the Musée du Vieux La Ciotat or the historic chapels of the Pénitents Bleus and Notre-Dame de la Garde. Further afield, the Toulon arsenal (27 km) and the perched medieval village of Le Castellet (16 km) are well worth the detour.

Come and discover the flavours and products of the South of France by taking the time to stroll through the local markets. And to perfect your sweet summer evenings, let yourself be seduced by the atmosphere of the Provençal night markets in Cassis, La Ciotat, Bandol, or Sanary. Throughout the year, La Ciotat comes alive during its large weekend morning market. In July and August, in Saint-Cyr-sur-Mer, wander through the nighttime creators' market during the week as well as on weekends, or discover the morning Provençal market during the week. Over the same period, Bandol's night market takes place every evening.
