Take a camping holiday at Ghisonaccia, and soak up the sun next to the Mediterranean Sea. At the Costa Serena, you’ll find beaches stretching for more than 20 miles, smoothed by gentle waves and bathed in the scent of pine and beech forests. When you step out of your bungalow and go in search of the sand, you’ll be met with an embarrassment of riches : the beaches of Pinia, Vignale, Quercioni and Calzarellu await you. You can go for a dip, try your hand at various watersports like windsurfing, paddle boarding or scuba diving, or lie on a deckchair or towel and watch the world go by.
But it’s not just the beaches that will charm visitors to the Costa Serena. Not far from your campsite at Ghisonaccia, the Corsican mountains are waiting for you ! Take a walk off the beaten track and you’ll certainly stumble upon one of the characterful villages, like Poggio-Di-Nazza, with its stone houses on the wooded slopes of a hill. The most daring among you can take the plunge in the freshwater streams or conquer the island summits from the winter sports centre at Ghisoni, which also offers stunning views over the Mediterranean.
What’s next ? When you get back to the campsite at Ghisonaccia, recover your strength with Corsican cheeses and cured meats. Wash down your delicious meal with a glass of Patrimonio, a local wine produced not far from Saint-Florent.
