Those who come to the Dordogne for a romantic getaway can spend a candlelit evening in the hanging gardens of Marqueyssac, just a few miles away from our campsite. Music hall fans can go in search of Josephine Baker in theChâteau des Milandes, a protected historical monument, where she lived for more than ten years! Campers looking for architectural marvels should head to Périgueux and its Cathédrale de Saint-Front, a Roman Catholic jewel and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, or stop at theChâteau de Beynac, a Medieval treasure famous as the best-preserved castle in the region.
Those who spend their holidays on our starred campsites in the Dordogne Périgord can try the Périgord cuisine, a feast for the senses that will delight even the most discerning palates! There is duck aiguillette in raspberry vinegar, truffle omelette, garlic soup, walnut tart, duck confit, duck fat-roasted potatoes, marzipan, hazelnut cake, truffle mushroom risotto, or Périgord salad with foie gras...
