A rich and varied environment to be appreciated and preserved. Both historic and modern, Vannes is as attractive for its ramparts and medieval centre as it is for its university and forward-looking businesses.

The Golfe du Morbihan, a 20 km wide inland sea dotted with numerous islands and islets. It is a destination prized for the beauty of its landscapes that cover a hundred square kilometres in Brittany, in the department of Morbihan, to which it gave its name. Its Breton name, Mor bihan, means "little sea".
