During your stay, make sure to visit Poreč, an old fortified city. Here, the various peoples who successively lived on the peninsula left behind numerous remains. From the Romans, the city has preserved its street plan and several temple ruins. From the medieval era, it has kept Romanesque and Gothic style houses, as well as a Renaissance palace. The Euphrasian Basilica is the great pride of its inhabitants. This early Christian church is a UNESCO World Heritage site, notably thanks to its incredible Byzantine mosaics that you'll need to take the time to admire to grasp all their details. After a good meal, those with a sweet tooth will delight in fritule, small fig-based desserts, and kroštule, fried pastry strips.

In Croatia, you'll immerse yourself in magnificent landscapes. Nature is truly worth your interest. The Učka mountain range nature park is one of the essential places to visit during your holidays. It will particularly appeal to hiking enthusiasts thanks to its numerous trails. During your walk, look up to observe the griffon vultures and eagles that have made their home in this sublime natural setting. Once you reach Vojak at an altitude of 1396 m, the highest peak of the massif, you'll have a magical panorama of the region and the surrounding peninsulas.

Don't miss Brijuni National Park either, an archipelago of 14 islands and a nature reserve home to over 77 plant species just a stone's throw from Pula. The postcard-perfect landscapes and lush flora are sure to charm you.
