The Languedoc-Roussillon region has a whole wealth of things to do.
When it comes to nature and the outdoors, the Réserve Africaine de Sigean safari park, with its 300 hectares and its 160 mainly African (but also local) species, offers an adventurous day out for the whole family. The highlight of the park is the 7.5 kilometre car trail through the African bush park, the Tibetan bear park, the lion park and the African savannah park.
And to enrich your stay, go to the surrounding markets:
From a cultural point of view, the town of Narbonne, 30 kilometres from the campsite, can be a pleasant excursion. Between its seaside resort of Narbonne-Plage, the Gothic cathedral of Saint-Just-et-Saint-Pasteur and the imposing palace-museum of the archbishops, there's plenty to do to suit all tastes.
Further south, you'll find the commune of Collioure and its royal castle, its feet in the water.
