Campsite Le Domaine de Massereau

Very peaceful, calm, organised…it was all very easy

Fabulous. The site is is lovely and the people who go there are lovely too. The staff are very friendly and obliging.

All the facilities are excellent, and the staff are all so friendly and helpful. The reception staff were particularly so. Although we tried our best to speak French, the team all speak excellent English, which at times was very necessary because of our own language limitations. A special mention for Sophie, the manager, who did so much to ensure our stay was as good as it could be. She helped us out so much, long before arrival, right from the time of booking, helping us to get the particular pitch we wanted. Then, throughout our stay she continued to attend to our needs. The bar was good and the best staff very friendly and helpful, especially Sofiane, who was always friendly welcoming and helpful. He in particular made it a real pleasure to visit. The restaurant is excellent, as it always has been. The food is first class, and generous, thanks to Chef Michel. We were so glad to find he is still in charge there. The restaurant staff also were very good and attentive. There were no delays or frustrating waits. The facilities, such as showers, washing areas etc are good, and the maintenence staff were equally good, always friendly and cheerful. The pools are very good, plenty of areas to suit all ages, from little ones to grown ups. One irritating thing about the pools is the fact that, although one of the pools is designated for adults only for a couple of hours at the end of the day, this was very rarely enforced (in fact only at the back holiday weekend). So often we would find families with children in this pool at the designated time, despite the fact there are other plentiful pools and facilities for families, young and older children. This WAS annoying, since it is not asking much for the rules to be enforced for that short period of time, especially when there are pools specially for young ones.

Massereau is a beautiful site with excellent facilities. The management and staff work hard to keep the site to a high standard

The restaurant was excellent quality. Our accommodation was in pleasant surroundings and spacious. There was a good selection of swimming pools that suited our family. The staff were very helpful and friendly. However the booking process was not easy and it was a very difficult to get a response to some questions I had before our stay.

Massereau remains a wonderful site with excellent facilities. The staff are first class and do everything they can to help their customers. The geographical location of the site is excellent. There are many places of interest within easy reach. To the north are the mountains of the Cevennes and to the south is the Carmargue and Mediteranean. Sommieres is a beautiful interesting town and has everything you could possibly need. The cycle track if brilliant and takes you through beautiful and varied countryside. It runs adjacent to the site and is easily accessible. We haven't found a better location in France which is why we keep returning.
