Activities near the campsite
The château, located on the banks of the River Odet, is on the outskirts of the town of Quimper. This former bishop’s residence is definitely worth admiring, both for the beauty of its façade and its gardens, listed as historical monuments, and for its age-old links with the town.
Quimper will win you over with its unique atmosphere and old town. Be sure to visit the Gothic cathedral of Saint-Corentin, the pottery museum and the oyster houses of the château de Bélon.
Take some time to visit the seaside resort of Bénodet, about 15 km away, with its long beaches of fine sand. Then continue your exploration of the Finistère with a trip to the Breton châteaux of Trévarez or Kerjean, the manor of Kernault or the Le Relec and Daoulas abbeys. Brittany really is fascinating!
And to enrich your stay, go to the surrounding markets:
- In Quimper:
local market every morning in high season
organic market on Friday afternoons - In Bénodet:
local market on Monday mornings - In Forêt Fouesnant:
night market on Tuesday evenings in high season
