Around the village, you’ll find many vineyards. Most of them are open to the public, and you’ll sometimes be able to taste the wine afterwards.
The Mediterranean Sea is just a stone’s throw away and offers a breath of fresh air, followed by a hike in one of the two nature parks around Mirepeisset. Then there are the famoussandy beaches of Gruissan and its coastal lakes. For the hardiest thrill seekers, there is no shortage of watersports and boardsports.
On the way back from the beach, head to theRéserve Africaine de Sigean, the most famous zoo in the region, open 365 days a year. During the summer season, the public can see the animals being fed, which will amaze both young and old.
