Vendres is located in the Hérault department in the Occitanie region, just a few kilometres from Béziers. The town is a seaside resort, particularly appreciated for its long sandy beaches which have a very exotic and unspoiled side. In particular, you will have a chance of seeing pink flamingos. If you appreciate the pleasures of the sea, you can visit the towns of Vias Plage, Sérignan Plage or even Valras Plage, located nearby.
The natural landscape of Vendres also encompasses the lake, located between the sea and the village, which is rich in flora and fauna, as well as numerous wine estates which extend beyond the town. This area is ideal for outdoor activities: hiking, cycling, wine tasting on an estate, swimming and water sports such as sailing, scuba diving, jet-skiing, etc. The athletic among you will be spoilt for choice!
Visiting Vendres also offers the opportunity to discover its architectural and historical heritage. Taking a stroll around the town is the perfect way of exploring the various monuments, such as the Saint Etienne church built in the 14th century, the Saint Puech gaseous fountain, the remains of the temple of Venus, the Cassant mill, etc.
